Our Big First Grader!

Michael started first grade this year.  He was so excited and ready to go.  He is in a Spanish Immersion program in his school where they do half the day in English and half in Spanish.  He is loving it! He already knows way more Spanish than I do and loves to come home and ask me what words mean (because he knows I won't know the answer) and teach me what he's learning.  I'm so grateful we live in an area that we can expose him to such great things at school.  I LOVE that he has a teacher that has beautifual brown skin like his and is teaching all the kids about so many different cultures out there!  He knows his gorgous brown skin came from his birthparents but we try and surround him with others who look like him so he always have a sense of belonging in our community.  He's such a smart little guy and is doing so good this year!
